Peer-Assisted Learning Sessions (PALS)

RDC is offering small group study sessions (up to 10 people at a time) for:

  • Accounting 102/103 (at DSB, in Entrepreneur-in-Residence room and Room 406)
  • Business 307 (at DSB, Entrepreneur-in-Residence room)
  • Chemistry 211/212 (main campus, Library, main floor, east side)
  • Math 202 (main campus, Library, main floor, east side)
  • Statistics 251 (main campus, Library, main floor, east side)

Schedules appear below, and will change by term. All sessions are free, and no pre-registration is required. Students can just show up!

PALS Expectations

Tutors will be expected to 

• Arrive on time.

• Be prepared to help students to the best of their ability.

• Assist in understanding concepts required for the course.

• Not work on assignments to be submitted for marks.

• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

• Abide by RDC’s Student Academic Integrity and Academic Misconduct policy.

Tutees will be expected to

• Arrive on time.

• Come prepared to each tutoring session by bringing course materials and questions. Tutors are there to support your learning but will not have a lesson prepared.

• Attend class—small group study sessions are not a substitute; they are a supplement.

• Participate as an active group member in each study session.

• Abide by RDC’s Student Academic Integrity and Academic Misconduct policy.
