The RDC Makerspace is a place to learn through exploration, innovation, and creation.
We provide access to high-tech and low-tech maker equipment. We also have individual work spaces, a collaboration room, and a high-tech recording studio.
The Makerspace is open September to June; check here for current hours. It is accessible by RDC students, staff, and faculty, plus community members may use some areas and equipment. Call 403.356.4916 for more information.
Terms and Conditions
The Red Deer College Makerspace offers RDC students, faculty, and staff, and the general public, access to new and emerging technologies. By using the Makerspace, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions which govern the acceptable use of the space and equipment, including agreeing not to hold RDC responsible for any consequences arising from using the space or equipment.
RDC reserves the right to revise the terms and conditions at any time. Continued use of the Makerspace by you will constitute your acceptance of any changes or revisions to these terms and conditions.
Use of the RDC Makerspace and most of the equipment, except the laser machine, is free and requires presentation of either a;
Use of the 3D printers, laser machine, sewing machine, or soldering irons requires you to complete an orientation and sign a user agreement.
