Learning Skills and Strategies

Learning strategies are ways to understand, remember, and apply the knowledge you learn.

Closed for Summer

Learning Skills & Strategies is closed for the Summer!

Please look at the many self-help resources provided throughout this guide. Depending on vacation schedules, an appointment may be available by contacting Amy Becker at amy.becker@rdc.ab.ca.

What to Expect

The Learning Skills Strategist provides professional learning strategy assistance and guidance, but will not do the work for the student (e.g. the Learning Skills Strategist will not work on assignments or review test material).

Appointments are 45 minutes.

Please be respectful and show up for your appointment on time. Failure to show up within 15 minutes of the start time will require you to reschedule. The time slot will then be made available to another student.

Failure to attend an appointment without notice will be recorded as a "no show."  After two "no shows," it will be at the discretion of the Learning Skills Strategist whether to allow further appointments for the remainder of the semester.
