Integrated Calendar of Federal Agency Funding Opportunities

The integrated calendar lists the principal funding opportunities offered by NSERC, SSHRC, CIHR, and CFI, including both agency-specific and jointly-administered programs.
Note: Red Deer Polytechnic is not eligible for all programs from all agencies and is not currently eligible to administer CIHR grant and award funds on a standalone basis. Please contact the Office of Research & Scholarship for more information.

College and Community Innovation (CCI) Program grants are institutional grants. You must contact the Office of Research & Scholarship in order to apply. CCI grants fund applied research projects across the spectrum of natural sciences, engineering, humanities, social sciences, and health. The program is administered by NSERC in collaboration with SSHRC and CIHR.

Mitacs is a national, not-for-profit organization that builds partnerships to support industrial and social innovation in Canada. Mitacs is open to all disciplines and is committed to supporting research-based innovation, working closely with partners in industry, academia, and government. Programs provide paid internships for students under the supervision of faculty members or appropriate college research staff. Acceptable partner organizations include for-profit corporations and eligible not-for-profit corporations, municipalities, and hospitals in Canada. In some cases, for-profit businesses operating outside of Canada  may be eligible.

Grants from the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) are institutional grants. You must contact the Office of Research & Scholarship in order to apply. The College–Industry Innovation Fund (CIIF) seeks innovative projects that will enhance the capacity of colleges to support business innovation in Canada by providing them with state-of-the-art, industry-relevant research infrastructure to foster partnerships with the private sector in specific areas of strategic priority for the institution.
