The Projects

All projects are found in Blackboard, which is accessed via TheLoop.

Be sure to read through each project and marking guide before you begin.

Microsoft Office Alternatives

If you do not have access to Microsoft Office products here are some other (free!) software sites you may want to use.

Google Docs - You need to create a Google account but there are no downloads. You can download your documents or email them.

Open Office - This requires a free download and allows you to save files the same way that you do with Office products.

Zoho - Free for personal use. No download. You can create a new account or use your Google account.

The Resources

You've come to the right place for resources and support materials for the projects that you will be completing throughout the term.

Right above this text box, you will see a series of tabs (e.g. Home, ePortfolio); these tabs are sections. Each section contains resources and tips to help you successfully complete the related projects:

  • ePortfolio
  • Word Processing
  • Spreadsheets
  • Web 2.0
  • Image Editing
  • Powerful Presentations
  • Theory (How Computers Work)

Please check your Course Outline for the projects you will be completing in your course. Each course is different and does not cover the same projects.

*Please note that you do not have to purchase any textbooks or software.
All course materials are available via Blackboard.
